Goodbye California, some sweet day,
on your golden shores, again I will play.

Many a sunny morning and warm night after,
have I walked your streets of bright light and laughter,

crossing your bridges, reading your legends and rhymes
singing my own story between their many lines.

There is so much to miss in your heartbreaking release,
so much to remember, so much to reminiscence.

And to my good friends from California, good friends who are true,
I say Goodbye to you all, and good luck to you too.
